Ultimately, she is responsible for the overall management and growth of the organization, which achieved a cumulative First Tier Diversity Spend among all of our clients totaling more than 800 million dollars in 2018.

Al Blumenburg, SVP, Revenue and Global Partner Relations

As Senior Vice President, Revenue and Global Supplier Relations, Al is responsible for expanding NEI’s client base, as well as managing the selection and development of all service partners to ensure high customer satisfaction for all relocating employees and clients.

Ken E. Nwadike, Jr.
Free Hugs Project

Ken E. Nwadike, Jr., is a peace activist, motivational speaker, and video journalist known as the Free Hugs Guy online where his videos have reached millions. As the founder of the Free Hugs Project, his talks are motivational in nature and inspire positive change by sharing techniques which can be used in any situation to quickly calm rising tensions.

In 2014, Nwadike launched the Free Hugs Project in response to the Boston Marathon bombing. He made major news headlines in 2016 for his peace-keeping efforts and de-escalating violence during protests, riots, and political rallies and was featured in Google’s 2016 most defining moments. He has made many appearances on news programs and radio broadcasts worldwide, including CNN, USA Today, Good Morning Britain, and BBC News.

Karena Johnson, CRP, Vice President, US Domestic Operations
NEI Global Relocation

As Vice President of U.S. Domestic Operations, Karena is responsible for overseeing service delivery of all relocation programs, quality assurance, team training and development, and goal monitoring for clients and NEI operations personnel. She works closely supporting team members and ensures adequate staffing to service clients’ relocation volume on an ongoing basis. She also arranges for additional support when a client’s business needs result in volume surges.

Karena also works with NEI’s training and development department to ensure our employees have the technical training necessary to perform their jobs well. With a continuous focus on excellent customer service, Karena monitors all service evaluations received and responds to any opportunities identified as a result of the feedback.

Mandy Conn, Account Executive
NEI Global Relocation
As an Account Executive, Mandy serves as the transferee’s primary contact for domestic relocations
assigned to them. She is responsible for the initial transferee and family relocation needs assessment, managing the family’s relocation, and maintaining relationships with the transferee and service partners from the date of initiation to the completion of the move.

Henry Gager, VP of Global Operations
Corporate Living

Henry Gager is the Vice President of Global Operations with Corporate Living, a corporate housing provider based in Cleveland, OH. Since his hiring in 2018, Henry has restructured, deployed, and optimized countless operational processes and spearheaded a myriad of industry leading business development initiatives, accelerating company growth and enhancing client experience. 

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Henry’s business acumen and operational acuity have cemented Corporate’s Living standing as a premier provider of furnished accommodations globally. Henry’s entrance to the mobility industry comes off the back of commodities trading position with Wells Fargo in their Houston offices.

Karen Marko, Client Relations Manager

Karen manages all facets of client relations to ensure the delivery of superior service to NEI’s clients and their transferring employees. She conducts onsite visits, engages in consultative interactions, and develops creative solutions. Karen assists clients with overall program planning, while providing accurate and meaningful data; she analyzes statistical reports and feedback from the operations team and then counsels them on ways to maximize the relocation program.

During the implementation phase of a new client’s program, Karen oversees the transition plan and coordinates all activities with NEI departments and personnel.

Janet Mauldin, CRP, GMS, SGDS, Senior Vice President, Relocation
BHHS Georgia Properties

Janet Mauldin is the Senior Vice President of Relocation for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties. Janet has been with the organization for over 12 years with a focus on growing the company's referral channel division and corporate business development. Janet began her career in the mortgage industry in 1993 before entering real estate in 2001, bringing over 29 years of experience to this role.

Janet previously served on the board of directors for the Metro Atlanta Relocation Council and is currently on their advisory council. She is a member of Worldwide Employee Relocation Council and the Relocation Directors Council. She holds her Certified Relocation Professional, Global Mobility Specialists and Global Destination Specialist designations.

Mark Bartasis, Client Relations Manager
NEI Global Relocation
Mark manages all facets of client relations to ensure the delivery of superior service to NEI’s clients and their transferring employees. He conducts onsite visits, engages in consultative interactions, and develops creative solutions. Mark assists clients with overall program planning, while providing accurate and meaningful data; he analyzes statistical reports and feedback from the operations team and then counsels them on ways to maximize the relocation program.

Sophie Rehberg, MIM+, Managing Director
Professional Organizing Relocation Consult GmbH

Sophie Rehberg comes from a family background in this industry. Her mother founded the company in 1982, and Sophie has taken over the business since 2016. Under Sophie’s leadership, the company has grown to manage a large number of inbound and outbound assignments annually.

Sophie has a degree in business & logistics and started her career in equine transport, coordinating charter flights to large equestrian events and show. Sophie has a strong focus on change management and represents a young, diverse and motivated generation within the industry. ProfOrg holds both the EGQS and ISO 9001:2015 Seal.

Arnaud Manas
Verdis Group

Bringing six years of data experience from the aviation industry, Arnaud (he/him) uses his analytical skills to solve complex climate problems and bring visibility to sustainability solutions. At Verdis, he leads the data analytics team and the decarbonization services. His focus is to help our clients use data to measure their emissions and learn how to reach Net Zero. As part of this work, he’s also interested in advancing sustainable purchasing practices and renewable energy procurement.

Arnaud earned his Master’s Degree in Strategic Procurement from IAE University and his undergraduate degree in Business and Management from University Institute of Technology 2, both in his hometown of Grenoble, France. He also earned a certificate in Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas Accounting from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Institute.

Craig Moody
Verdis Group

Craig (he/him) is responsible for Verdis Group’s day-to-day operations. He brings a wide breadth of experience and an ability to keep the firm’s projects on time and on budget. He is uniquely qualified to help organizations make decisions that are good not only environmentally, but also economically. He’s particularly well-versed on the topics of ESG, corporate social responsibility, organizational strategy, and decarbonization.

Outside of his responsibilities with Verdis, Craig was elected to the Omaha Public Power District’s Board of Directors in November 2016. He also serves on the Lauritzen Gardens Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees for the Omaha Business Ethics Alliance, and the Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition Board of Directors. Craig received the 2019 Energy Leadership Award from Nebraska Conservation Voters for his work with Verdis Group and on the OPPD Board.

Lee Anne Simpson, Director, US Domestic Operations

As a direction of US Domestic Operations, Lee Anne is responsible for overall team performance, ensuring
delivery of exceptional service, and managing to metrics in compliance with client expectations.
She provides oversight for team development and training and confirms that procedures and
documentation support established goals. She, along with her fellow Directors, support both the Operations Account Managers and the Client Relations Managers in developing creative solutions for policy and program goals and ensuring that NEI delivers those solutions. They also own the escalation and resolution of any service concerns.

Greg is focused on service excellence and the continuing development of leading edge technology for NEI, our clients and their transferring families. He oversees the teams who provide critical reporting functions, as well as the management of our proprietary Global Gateway websites and database.
